Don’t let your kids help you with your business

By madcow

With the upsurge of Work at Home Mums comes the increase in articles, tips and blog posts relating to getting your kids to help you with your business.

Brilliant ideas, most of them.

Some parts of your business are, however, best left as far removed from you children as possible.

Walking with my 8 and a half year old this afternoon and he decided I needed a new bio. This is what he came up with for me:

She is a living carcass who sits at her computer all day and is very grumpy angry and yells a lot. She is mum to three boys and wife to one.

I believe he will be spending the next week licking envelopes for me. In fact, I will go out and purchase non-self-seal envelopes specifically for this purpose.

Very good point Mad Cow… I agree, some things are better left away from kids… especially for bio for articles!

From the mouth of babes – a living carcass? Good to hear you’re only wife to one though :)

Hope you found those envelopes that taste revolting Mad Cow :)

  3. Oh that’s hilarious! I’m kind of wondering where an 8yo got ‘living carcass’ from though….

I wonder if you can put that anti-nailbiting stuff on the envelopes before he licks them???

    Melinda – you’re wondering??

I live with it – and wonder where he gets a lot of the things he comes out with LOL

  6. I’ll bet you’re really looking forward to the teenage years then! LOL! You never know, he could be the next Seth Godin or Richard Branson… He’s certainly got the off-beat thinking for it!

I can’t help thinking that he was trying to be complimentary. Sometimes we tie our brains in knots trying to think how to say something nice in a different way and it comes out wrong.

Ah, Suzie – if only LOL

Nah, he just has a great sense of humour and tests it out on us when he gets the chance. And when he doesnt get the chance.

    It’s all in good fun.

I know what you’re saying though.
